All students deserve access to a high-quality, free, and public education. At Horizon Science Academy DSM, we believe that the youth of Des Moines is the future that this country needs.

Enrolling in a new school is an exciting time for you and your child and we want the registration process to go as smoothly as possible for your family. Enrollment is now underway for all families that live within the DMPS attendance zone.

Children five years old on or before September 15 are eligible for Kindergarten starting in the Fall.

WHAT DO I NEED?

Everyone is required to provide the following documents to finalize registration.*

Birth certificate
Immunization records - Click here for a Medical Certificate of Immunization Exemption form
Parent/Guardian photo ID
Resident verification (may include a recent utility bill, current vehicle registration, signed lease agreement, mortgage statement, or a notarized letter from your landlord)

The lottery date is March 31, and you will be notified about your enrollment status in the first week of April.
